Last Modified

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Currently when performing a checksum on the NX-OS cli the output is not in a standard format and does not include the filename. This is problematic when performing a checksum on multiple files at once or using the output of the command as input for Unix or GNU/Linux `md5sum(1)` tools:
<pre>
SWITCH(config)# show file n7700-s2-dk9.7.3.3.D1.1.bin md5sum
f90c20c1e27e7be052d332f5909c5f6f

tac@desktop:$ md5sum n7700-s2-dk9.7.3.3.D1.1.bin
f90c20c1e27e7be052d332f5909c5f6f  n7700-s2-dk9.7.3.3.D1.1.bin
</pre>
This is problematic when a wildcard is used on a list of files:
<pre>
N77-C7706-1(config)# show file *.bin md5sum
63d9a27f1e7555ef642f1327d7895c0a <=== Difficult to determine which file hash belongs to
