Cisco Bug: CSCvs98170 - Node restart after massive SSON AUTO REVERT

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco ONS 15454 Series Multiservice Provisioning Platforms

Known Affected Releases

11.00

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Node resets during a massive revertion of SSON circuits

Conditions:
High number of circuits concurrently reverting on a node.
On the side port where the SSON circuit are restored are present many (main or restored) other circuits.

Saying that S is the number of SSON circuits and T the total number of circuit on the restoration side (so T >= S);
the problem can arise if:
   S * T * 2 > 6000

The worst case is if all the circuits are SSON ones (S = T):
 - 54 is a safe number
 - having more than 54 circuits can highlight the problem
