Symptom:
-Seeing error messages when trying to push a default route/default gateway through device templates:

   <bad-cli>
          <bad-command>ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x/24 1</bad-command> <<<=====
          <error-location>37</error-location>
          <parser-response/>        </bad-cli> <<<====
        <bad-cli>

-We are not expecting to put a subnet mask at the default gateway ip address.
