Products (1)

  • Cisco IOS

Known Affected Releases

15.2(5)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Using TACAS+ for command authorization.
In IOS 12 the switch is able to send the interface ID argument in a single line:
Nov 1 09:12:40: AAA/AUTHOR/TAC+: (2920484424): send AV cmd-arg=1/0/1

In IOS 15 the behavior is changed and now it is sent in separate lines:
Nov 1 19:13:50.322: AAA/AUTHOR/TAC+: (1457148326): send AV cmd-arg=1
Nov 1 19:13:50.322: AAA/AUTHOR/TAC+: (1457148326): send AV cmd-arg=0
Nov 1 19:13:50.322: AAA/AUTHOR/TAC+: (1457148326): send AV cmd-arg=1

Need option to send as a single line. Some TACACS+ servers expect a single line for the interface ID.

Conditions:
Switch platform doing TACACS+ with command authorization.
When entering interface config mode.
