Cisco Bug: CSCvs90381 - BE - Using &sect in URI of HTTP Request gets converts to a section sign

Last Modified

May 29, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco CloudCenter Suite

Known Affected Releases

5.1(4)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When using HTTP Request activity to send a request with query parameters, the URI that is being reported by AO is not what is actually being sent to the server. Parameters that start with "sect" are being converted to "%C2%A7" and URI is incorrectly encoded for other characters after this.

Conditions:
Using an HTTP URI that contains "§" in the activity will cause this. For example a request like the following:

/api?param=value§ion=somevalue

you would see that what was actually sent to the server is:

/api?param=value%C2%A7ion%3Dsomevalue

where %C2%A7 is the section sign character (ยง) URI encoded
