Cisco Bug: CSCvs90049 - SSO login flows supported by CUCM

Last Modified

Jun 04, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

11.5(1.16900.17)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
SAML SSO Deployment Guide should mention what type of SSO login flows are supported for CUCM. There are two different ways to handle user authentication:

Idp-initiated SSO
SP-initiated SSO

The SSO deployment guide should specify that only SP-initiated flow is supported

Conditions:
user first is authenticated by a web service and that this first web service then provides an identity assertion to enable the user to access the second web service. The web service accessed first (travel.example.org) acts as the IdP for SP sales.example.de. This is known as IdP initiated web SSO.
