Cisco Bug: CSCvs84918 - Traffic simulation is not working properly on 19.2.1

Last Modified

Jul 17, 2020

Products (2)

  • Cisco vEdge Router
  • Cisco vEdge Router Model

Known Affected Releases

19.2.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Traffic simulation is not working properly on 19.2.1. Traffic simulated from vManage or CLI(using policy service-path command) on vEdge with 19.2.1 is showing the correct path as defined by Centralised data policy.. But when we send the actual traffic via the vEdge the traffic is taking the expected path as defined by Centralised Data Policy.

Traffic simulation is working as expected for 19.2.099.

Conditions:
We tested the scenario os application office 365. Centralised data policy was used for both software 19.2.1 amd 19.2.099. In centralised data policy traffic matching to application office 365 was sent to DIA.

For vEdge software 19.2.099 the output was being shown as DIA. When actual traffic was generated via outlook client that too was taking the DIA.

When the software on the vEdge was upgraded to 19.2.1. When we simulated the traffic either via vManage or using the CLI the out was coming at the overlay. But when real traffic was sent it was taking DIA path as defined in the centralised data policy.
