Description (partial)

Symptom:
Pressing Ctrl+c when running an install operation with the <cmdArg>synchronous<noCmdArg> keyword results in a traceback being output.

Conditions:
On LNT/XR7 platforms, if the user has run an install operation with <cmdArg>synchronous<noCmdArg> keyword, and then decided to return to the CLI by pressing Ctrl+C, sometimes a Python traceback can be seen, ending in:
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'terminate'
