Exposures (CVE) IDs:

CVE-2018-15173

This bug was opened to address the potential impact on this product.

Conditions:
Device with default configuration.

(Note that CVE-2018-15173 was already fixed in 6.4.0 and 6.5.0 as part of CSCvn75713 with a manual patch which included the fix. Since at the time, 7.70 was the latest release of Nmap, which did not include the fix, therefore the fix was manually patched. This bug upgrades Nmap to 7.80, which includes the fix for the CVE, as well as many other fixes. Therefore, 6.4.0 and 6.5.0 are not vulnerable to the CVE)
