Last Modified

Feb 17, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

7.1(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When traffic is configured to bps >5.3 (15%FEC and 27%FEC) traffic hits (UCB) can occur on modules at bad end of production statistics

Conditions:
Present with all 1.2TLinecard HW 10-1200-x and independent from SW release
Reproducibility ~10%
Problem is induced by a large module to module spread with bits per symbol greater than 5.3bps. This is caused by sensitivity of the trunk to stress factors (e.g. transients) in the link or from the module itself (e.g. laser frequency variations)
