Cisco Bug: CSCvs75040 - Disposition Lookup Performance Degrades when Connector Encounters Delay in Sending Events

Last Modified

Jan 28, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco AMP for Endpoints

Known Affected Releases

1.12(1)

Description (partial)

Internally found issue during testing.

Symptom:
A malicious file detection event takes longer than usual to appear in the UI and in the AMP web console.

Conditions:
This issue affects:
- AMP for Endpoints Mac Connector 1.12.0
- AMP for Endpoints Linux Connector 1.12.0

The problem exhibits itself when the Connector has a large number of events pending to be sent to AMP servers. This can occur if the AMP Connector does not have a reliable network connection to AMP servers, or if action is taken to stimulate a large number of events in a short period of time (e.g., copy a large number of malicious files to the system to test efficacy).
