Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco UCS Central Software

Known Affected Releases

2.0(1c) 2.0(1h)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
As per documentation, VLAN groups in UCS Central are supported along with the already assigned VLANs to the port:
 https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/ucs-central/GUI-User-Guides/Network-Mgmt/2-0/b_UCSCentral_NetworkManagementGuide-2-0/b_UCSCentral_NetworkManagementGuide-2-0_chapter_011.html

"When you configure an uplink port with a VLAN Group, that uplink port supports only the VLANs that are part of the associated VLAN Group, and the individual VLANs if any, that are associated with the uplink"

this was tested this our the lab and as soon as a VLAN Group is added to the port (ethernet uplink), all the VLANs previously assigned to the port are removed and only VLANs from the VLAN Group remain.

As soon as we remove the VLAN Group it all comes back up again

Conditions:
using VLAN groups
