Cisco Bug: CSCvs72112 - random-fill tiebreaker does not work
Sep 02, 2020
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: LSPs take paths not expected by the operator based on the ECMP tie-breaker. Conditions: The conditions to run into this issue are: 1- Multiple tunnels with signaled bandwidth configured 2- Tunnels use the random tie-breaker among equal-cost paths 3- Two or more equal cost paths but with different available bandwidth along the paths When this issue happens, the paths chosen will not be randomly chosen between the equal-cost paths. Instead, the min-fill tiebreaker is used instead of random.
