Cisco Bug: CSCvs71221 - Nexus switch routing packets on the peer-link with a rogue/incorrect destination mac address.
Aug 12, 2020
- Cisco Nexus 6000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Nexus switch changes the destination mac-address to an unknown mac address. Nexus peer switch drops the packet as it doesn't recognise the destination mac address. Conditions: The 2 nexus switches should be in a vPC setup. The host is connected to only one nexus device. The concerned SVIs on both switches are in the same VRF but not in default/management. The Source host and the destination switch SVI are in the same VLAN and subnet.
