Cisco Bug: CSCvs61482 - Incorrect annotations of XBAR internal errors in show hardware internal errors

Last Modified

Jan 16, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

6.2(19) 8.1(1a)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Two problems with the display of internal CRC errors:

Problem 1:
From a 9706 16G...
The "FB08" indication seems to be incorrect... Is the "08" indicating an XBAR number (01 to 06)?
Or is it an XBAR ASIC number? On a 9706 there are only 6 SM ASICs anyway.

Module inst 1 (really inst 0) Port 09 is connected to XBAR 5:

module-2# show hardware internal xbar-driver local inst 1 driver_info
...

Port-Enabled Connected-To Chan-Status Speed

Problem 2:
From 9710 looks like internal errors on the SM inst 0 which is the
Sup's SM. These are incorrectly labeled as "LC03". The SM on the Sup doesn't
have a connection to any LC:

Supervisor local (really inst 0) Port 20 is connected to XBAR 3:
