Last Modified

Jan 09, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.0(3)I7(7) 9.2(4) 9.3(3)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A limitation exists on Cisco Nexus 9000 devices with Cloud Scale ASICs where multiple tunnel interfaces within the same VRF cannot be sourced from or destined to the same IP address. For example, a device cannot have Tunnel0 and Tunnel1 interfaces in the default VRF with both interfaces sourced from the same IP address or interface (such as a common loopback interface).

Conditions:
1. Nexus 9000 device with Cloud Scale ASIC (-EX, -FX, -FX2)
2. Multiple GREv4, GREv6, or IP-IP tunnels are configured within the same VRF
3. Two or more tunnels within the same VRF are sourcing from the same IP/interface such that tunnel-encapsulated packets for multiple tunnels are sourced from the same IP address.
