Cisco Bug: CSCvs54882 - Custom privilege commands do not show in running configuration and are lost on reload

Last Modified

Nov 06, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco 2600 Series Multiservice Platforms

Known Affected Releases

16.6.6 16.9.4

Description (partial)

Privilege commands are not showing in the running-config and therefore are not written to the startup-config causing the privilege commands to be lost on reload of the device.

Example Configuration:
(config)#privilege interface level 10 switchport mode access
(config)#privilege interface level 10 switchport access vlan

Only the following shows in the running-configuration:
privilege interface level 10 switchport <<<<<<<

However, the more specifics are allowed until the device is reloaded, then the device reverts to only the commands seen in the running-configuration (I.E - switchport prompt only with no sub commands allowed).

Catalyst 9k running 16.6.6 or 16.9.4.
