Cisco Bug: CSCvs52212 - ASDM ENH: capability for Event Log Viewers to display ASA syslogs with rfc5424 timestamp format
Apr 18, 2020
- Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: ASA 9.10.1 and ASDM 7.10.1 added the capability to configure rfc5414-time-format for logging: CLI "logging timestamp rfc524". The Event Log Viewers (Real-Time and Log Buffer) , however, still display the same Date and Time columns (.aka legacy timestamp format) , which will be blank when using logging rfc5424-time-format. Need the ability for the Log-Event Viewers (Real-Time Log and Log Buffer) to be able to display rfc5424-timestamp-format . Conditions: Using rfc5424-timestamp-format (ASA CLI "logging timestamp rfc524" ) instead of legacy-time-stamp format (CLI "logging timestamp " ).
