Description (partial)

Symptom:
A vulnerability in the logging subsystem of the Cisco Stealthwatch Endpoint Concentrator, Stealthwatch Flow Collector NetFlow, Stealthwatch Flow Collector sFlow, Stealthwatch Flow Sensor, Stealthwatch Management Console (SMC) and Stealthwatch UDP Directorcould allow an authenticated, local attacker to view sensitive information in a system log file which should be restricted.

The vulnerability is due to lack of proper masking of sensitive information before being written to system log files. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the targeted device and inspecting a specific system log file. The attacker would need valid user credentials.

Conditions:
The default configuration of the system.
