Cisco Bug: CSCvs48125 - Client assurance data in Cisco DNA Center isn't consistent and MAC address information is inaccurate

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Network Integration Applications

Known Affected Releases

DNAC1.3.1.4

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The connected MAC address info in Cisco DNA Center Assurance may be inaccurate.

The connected client MAC address info is updated on the switch, and is also reachable in the IPDT table, but in Assurance it is blank. For some clients, found the client MAC addresses are showing stale in IPDT, but the MAC address is updated in Cisco DNA Center Assurance.

Conditions:
Collector-snmp - The Polling Interval is set to 5 minutes.

Condition 1] Switch interface g1/0/23 had the entry on the switch as stale, but the MAC address shows in Assurance. Observed for 30 minutes, but still client MAC address information was never removed.

Condition 2] Same switch, another interface g1/0/22 had an IPDT entry as reachable, but the client MAC address shows blank in Assurance. Observed behavior for 30 minutes, but there was no change.

Later, shut the interface, and the IPDT status changed to stale. Waited for more than 30 minutes and found that Cisco DNA Center Assurance still shows the client MAC address as connected.

The above behavior is seen for multiple switches and multiple switch ports for devices.
