Description (partial)

Customer had some left over live logs from the time when he enabled some Syslog publishers.

He was trying to remove them after removing Passive ID service from his nodes and de-registering Syslog publishers did not work to solve his issue.

Syslog Passive Identity Provider with Custom Template does not check format of the MAC address (xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx) and it is possible to store virtually ANY information to the MAC field (selected by regexp in Custom Template from the syslog message). In the customer example it was an IP address.
