Last Modified

Dec 18, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

7.0(1) 7.1(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
For higher BPS (> 4.0) the SW default CD-MIN and CD-MAX could lead to traffic impact without indications in the preFEC BER/Q Margin.
In addition the defaults can lead to max power consumption violations for the 600G data rate configuration.

Conditions:
Configuring bits per symbol (BPS) > 4.0 for any data rate.
The probability to run into problems increases with the BPS.
