Symptom:
Alerts are seen in RTMT for "setroubleshoot: SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/sudo from connect access on the unix_stream_socket/var/run/nscd/socket."

messages file will record many instances of this denial occurring periodically every minute multiple times within a few seconds:
