Cisco Bug: CSCvs38753 - VM interfaces are not moving to correct IPGs after HOST reboot

Last Modified

Dec 18, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 1000V Switch for VMware vSphere

Known Affected Releases

5.2(1)SV5(1.3)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
No traffic for some vEths after reboot of HOST ( including VSM, VSE and user VMs ) and then comes online.

On VSM logs similar to following would appear for affected vEths -

"VEM_MGR-SLOT5-1-VEM_SYSLOG_ALERT: L2 TABLE : Packet with Source MAC address 0050:56b4:aab5 received on ltl: 55 is program as Static entry for ltl 53"

Conditions:
Reboot of HOST ( including VSM, VSE and user VMs ) and then powered on back. The network adapters would have mapped to old IPGs which doesn't have IPG mappings on Nexus1000V. So, the traffic would get affected.
