Description (partial)

Symptom:
The customer is sending HDMI output 1 and 2 from the Room Kit Pro into two Cobalt 9904 HDMI to SDI 4K conversion card ( https://www.cobaltdigital.com/products/4692/9904-udx-4k) over an HDMI input. Currently, the customer is having issues passing the video signal from the Room Kit Pro because the card needs to put in the codec EDID info on it.

Room Kit Pro >> HDMI output 1 & 2 >> Female HDMI cable >> HDMI input >> 2x Cobalt 9904 HDMI to SDI 4K conversion card >> Video router

Conditions:
When the HDMI output of codec is unable to negotiate EDID info the hotplug event is never created.

Codec pro and Video Card has mismatch capabilities




In the instance of the test you were trying to take an HDMI stream of 1080p 30fps and convert it to 4k 60fps. By negotiation the codec process the bandwidth that it is capable.
If codec receives a specific bandwidth for a resolution rate it will present like that. This is due to compatibility. Cisco Codec Pro is not a passthrough device.

Graphic card must have an acceptable digital timing to match the input capability
