Cisco Bug: CSCvs28593 - ASA/FTD device package should take care of values with leading/trailing space

Last Modified

Dec 13, 2019

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls

Known Affected Releases

9.6(4.1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
As of now (CISCO.ASA.1.2-9.18), ASA device package builtin function profile allows the parameter's value including leading space, this would not be taking by firewall, however will be used by service audit, which may result of removing/adding of certain configuration, and subsequent network churn such as ospf router flapping.

This enhancement is to seek the implementation of:
1. Reject any values with leading space in service graph function profile for ACI L4-7 integration.
2. Removing leading space for value comparison in case the parameters are pushed via API

Conditions:
service graph parameters contains leading space, this is a user mistake but was taken by the device package.
