Description (partial)

A vulnerability in the Cisco Webex Teams client for Windows could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to crash the client of their targeted victims, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The attacker needs a valid developer account to exploit this issue.

The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation when processing received adaptive cards. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending an adaptive card with malicious content to an existing user of Cisco Webex Teams client for Windows. An exploit could allow the attacker to continuously crash the targeted users'' clients.

Cisco has released software updates that address the vulnerability described in this advisory. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

At the time of publication, this vulnerability affected Cisco Webex Teams client for Windows releases 3.0.13131 and later.

At the time of publication, Cisco Webex Teams client for Windows releases 3.0.14234 and later contained the fix for this vulnerability.
