Known Affected Releases

16.12.1 Gibraltar-16.12.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
IE3x00 switch is being deployed via AutoInstall feature
Expectations are that IE3x00 obtains IP address necessary information from DHCP server [bootfile and tftp server address] and downloads this configuration in order to be applied
on 16.12.1/16.12.2 image this process never finishes successfully

console prompt will remain on

         --- System Configuration Dialog ---

Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog? [yes/no]:

and Autoinstall process does not initiate boot file download

upon checking logs the following failure will be seen

*Oct 5 00:37:11.421: AUTOINSTALL: Obtain tftp server name 192.168.69.254 resolved to 192.168.69.254
*Oct 5 00:37:11.422: AUTOINSTALL: Setting hostname XXXXX from DHCP reply
*Oct 5 00:37:15.421: AUTOINSTALL: Tftp script execution not successful for Vl1.

Conditions:
HW: IE3x00 switch
SW: 16.12.1 or 16.12.2
