Description (partial)

Symptom:
IE3x00 switch obtaining Hostname via DHCP Option 12 during AutoInstall process will report the following error message when DHCP Option 12 contains hostname above 21 characters

HW: IE3x00 switch
SW: 16.11.1 or 16.12.1
Autoinstall process is used
hostname is supplied via DHCP Option 12
hostname has 21 or more characters
