Cisco Bug: CSCvs14673 - SVL node may get removed if one of the SVL links goes bad.
Sep 02, 2020
- Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Cat9k StackWise Virtual pair may break under certain circumstances with current timeout setting for Link Management Protocol (LMP) and StackWise Discovery Protocol (SDP) protocols Conditions: such a condition would be one of the StackWise Virtual Links being physically damaged [either the fiber or the transceiver] in a way that results CRC errors occur [thus traffic passing via this link will be corrupted] but the link remains in up/up state If both LMP and SDP packets are hashed to such a malfunctioning link it could result in peer node in SVL pair being disconnected
