Cisco Bug: CSCvs14643 - Documentation should show steps needed after install for successful HTTP
Dec 10, 2019
- Cisco Smart Software Manager satellite
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: HTTPS connectivity may fail when registering devices to a new On-Prem installation due to a mismatch between the SSL certificate "issued to" hostname and the certificate details expected by the registering device. A known solution exists for 6.x and higher. This information should be included in the install and/or user guide documentation. Conditions: URL entered into registering device does not match the "issued to" hostname. For example, URL entered into a router has an FQDN, but certificate is issued to IP address.
