- Cisco Web Security Appliance
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Virtual ESA/WSA/SMA will fail to update and upgrade if the xml file end date expires while still displaying valid Smart License for each service. Virtual ESA/WSA/SMA require the loading of an xml file in order to function with Smart Licensing. Virtual ESA/WSA/SMA will not work independently with smart licensing. Conditions: Virtual ESA/WSA/SMA which have been migrated over to Smart Licensing. - The existing .xml Classic License contains an "End Date." <end_date> dd/mm/yyyy </end_date> - Once the 'end_date,' has passed, the updater service will fail, preventing updates to all services. - Upgrade functionality will be disabled.
