Description (partial)

If this has happened in your environment, you will have the following upgrade error:

Check to see if /var/stv and /var/zookeeper in the affected host's SCVM are mounted to tmpfs instead of /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sdb2:

root@SpringpathController:~# df -h

udev 36G 4.0K 36G 1% /dev
tmpfs 7.1G 6.4M 7.1G 1% /run
/dev/sda1 2.4G 1.4G 917M 61% /

none 36G 0 36G 0% /run/shm
none 100M 0 100M 0% /run/user
tmpfs 4.0G 25M 4.0G 1% /var/stv

none 4.0K 0 4.0K 0% /sys/fs/cgroup

This has been observed during upgrades from 2.1(1b) to 3.0(1i) and 3.5(2e). So far, all of the affected ESXi versions are 6.0 U3.
