Cisco Bug: CSCvs10791 - Endpoint deletion is not happening after enabling and disabling process mac
Dec 13, 2019
- Cisco Data Center Network Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Mac-only Endpoints are visible for some time after enabling EPL although Process MAC only advertisements is not selected. Conditions: This behavior is observed when EPL is first enabled such that MAC-Only Advertisements are also processed and then it is disabled and enabled again such that MAC-Only Advertisements are not to be processed. Because we don't delete the Cache data in elastic search when we disable EPL, so that the UI can be populated with the picture of the network last seen by EPL. The same thing happened when RR is disconnected, we don't flush any data. The MAC-only endpoints will be deleted in due time which is dependent on the scale, it can take upto 30 minutes to remove the older MAC only endpoints.
