Description (partial)

Symptom:
SNMP hostname starting with 0. and 127. are not accepted and report the following error:

mds(config)# snmp-server host 0.xxxxxx.yyy traps version 2c <community string>
can't configure with loopback/invalid IP address

Conditions:
This is an expected limitation. We are not allowed to start the snmp hostname with 0. and 127.
