Cisco Bug: CSCvs08030 - OSPF WSRLG Path used weight in metric even after unconfig of SRLG

Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

7.2.1.ROUT

Description (partial)

Symptom:
This issue is uncovered in weighted SRLG scenario, but is applicable in case of normal LFA with srlg as tiebreaker.

When SRLG value is removed from the interface, FRR calculation has to be triggered for the affected areas, that is the areas to which the affected interface belongs to.
This works fine for normal interfaces, but getting skipped for the areas that has this interface as a MADJ interface.

So if any route has this madj adjacency as the nexthop, FRR calculation does not get triggered there, so the route remains unchanged.

Conditions:
1) The affected interface should have an srlg value initially.
2) The affected interface should be configured as a MADJ interface in another area.
3) There should be intra area routes that use this MADJ interface as the primary nexthop, with a backup path which has the same SRLG value in one of the links in the path.
4) SRLG value gets removed from the interface that act as primary (MADJ), triggering this issue.
