Cisco Bug: CSCvs06516 - Multicast route not being programmed in hardware

Last Modified

Sep 03, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

13.2(7f)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A multicast route does not get programmed in the hardware.
This causes the multicast traffic to be dropped.

Conditions:
The Source is attached to an orphan port and is not sync'd to the peer.

The multicast traffic will be forwarded into the fabric on VRF GIPO and reach wherever VRF is deployed. The traffic lands on the VPC peer but since the SRC is not sync'd the multicast traffic is dropped.
