Last Modified

  • Cisco Elastic Services Controller

Known Affected Releases

5.0 5.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When the ESC VNFM is configured for OAUTH2 authentication, a request sent to the NFVO can hang.

A log similar to below appears in the VNFM etsi-vnfm.log at the point where the communication hangs:

2019-10-24 10:04:04.109 [ThreadPoolTaskExecutor-5] INFO etsi_rest_event - OUT GET NFVO request for VNF package to <url for vnfpkgm/v1/vnf_packages endpoint>

Conditions:
OAUTH2 support for outgoing calls to NFVO is configured. The issue occurs after the VNFM has made several requests that get an unauthorised response from the NFVO due to an expired/invalid token.
