Cisco Bug: CSCvr98827 - QoS anomaly is generated for some ports on a spine switch

Last Modified

Aug 28, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

14.2(2.212)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Some of the control plane packets are incorrectly classified as the user class and are reported as dropped in single chip spine switches. The statistics are incorrect because the packets are not actually dropped.

Conditions:
Protocols such as DHCP, DIAG, traceroute, PTP, dot1x, glean, and OHD in single chip spine switches are classified under the user class instead of the SUP class. These protocols are shown as drops because they are SUP-redirected packets.
