Cisco Bug: CSCvr97348 - fib_manager crash after executing show cef <prefix>command when 64 path ECMP is enabled

Last Modified

  • Cisco Network Convergence System 5500 Series

Known Affected Releases

6.6.3.BASE 7.1.1.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The fib_mgr crashed after executing show cef command when 64 ECMP paths are enabled and 8 ECMP paths resolving over it recursively.

Following case caused the issue:
service route - > 8 BGP paths - > each 8 BGP paths going over further 64 ECMP paths

Conditions:
64 ECMP paths are enabled and 8 ECMP paths resolving over it recursively. So prefix resolving over 8 ECMP paths results into 8* 64 = 512 paths.
For such prefix if "show cef <prefix> detail" command is executed then process fib_mgr crashes.
