Cisco 17.3 UI supports only one-shot install operation for Software Upgrade. Due to this below upgrade scenarios are not achievable via UI. 1) C9800 Upgrade with ap image predownload 2) Wireless upgrade for eCA switches. Symptom: Cisco 17.3 GUI supports one-shot install operation for Software Upgrade. Due to this, the below upgrade scenarios are not supported. 1) C9800 Wireless Controller upgrade with AP Image Predownload - APs take longer duration to join the controller after upgrade as some time was spent downloading the new AP image from the controller. 2) Wireless Install Upgrade with sub-package optimization on eCA switches - On eCA switches with wireless configuration, the upgrade from GUI doesn't support installing both the base image and the corresponding wireless package, and activating them together. Due to this existing wireless configuration is lost during the upgrade. Conditions: Since the GUI doesn't support multi-step install upgrade, the addition of packages alone is not possible to perform further actions (AP image predownload or installation of wireless package).
