Cisco Bug: CSCvj11743 - N5K/6K: Capability to turn off port channel bundling syslog messages

Last Modified

Apr 27, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 5000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.3(2)N1(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Require CLI option to turn on/off port channel interface logging per port channel or globally.

On N7K switches this has been fixed via the CSCtk60962: A new CLI command has been added. You may configure globally "(no) logging event port-channel" to disable/enable globally port-channel syslog messages and per port basis "(no) logging event port-channel port" to disable/enable per port-channel syslog messages.

Conditions:
Configured port channels and member links flap. Current logging event command does not suppress port channel link events.
