  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Under extremely rare timing conditions, ISIS process may unexpectedly restart itself when ISIS adjacency on MPLS-TE enabled interface comes up.

Conditions:
Problem may happen only with MPLS-TE.
It may happen when ISIS adjacency come up while ISIS TE thread is processing request in MPLS-TE.
The timing window where this problem can happen is very small, so there is very little chance to hit the problem in stable networks. Permanently flapping link would increase the possibility to hit this problem.
