Last Modified

Apr 16, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Firepower Management Center

Known Affected Releases

6.2.2.3

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The following warning is received when saving an Inline Set:

-------------------
Interface Mode Change Warning

Adding interface to Inline set will change interface mode and any existing security zone mappings will be removed. Interface can then be assigned to only Inline security zones. Do you want to add the interface?
-------------------

This message is received even when no interface is being added, and is therefore misleading.

Conditions:
Steps to Reproduce:

1. From a 6.2.2.3 FMC, add an Inline Set to a registered FTD device and deploy the change (the warning received is relevant at this time).

2. After the Inline Set is created/ deployed, edit the Inline Set, do not make any changes, and click OK.

Expected Result:

Since no interface is added at this time, a warning should not be received that indicates an interface is being added.

Actual Result:

A warning is received indicating an interface is being added. The user is asked if they want to add an interface. Selecting No takes them back to the configuration screen.
