Cisco Bug: CSCvi91710 - Enhance error messages for DC 'Configure' action in passive-id

Last Modified

Jul 10, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) 3300 Series Appliances

Known Affected Releases

2.3(0.903)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
From time to time during 'Configure' action in Providers > Active Directory errors are returned while actually configuration has been implemented successfully on Domain Controller.

Example of such errors:

'The IseExec remote execution functionality failed to copy svc and cmd executables'

'Failed to restart service'

And so one.

It has been confirmed that errors are false positive by reviewing DC configuration after pressing 'Configure' and getting an error.

Conditions:
Executing of 'Configure' action during adding DC into Passive-id.

Normally we can confirm that error is false positive by restarting reviewing configuration on DC or by pressing 'Configure' again which should return Success if initial error was false-positive.
