Products (1)

  • Cisco Meeting Server

Known Affected Releases

2.2.8

Description (partial)

Symptom:
A vulnerability in the Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP) bitstream processing of the Cisco Meeting Server (CMS) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition.

The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation on incoming RTP bitstreams. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted RTP bitstream to an affected CMS. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to deny audio and video services by causing media process crashes resulting in a DoS on the affected product.

Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.
