Description (partial)

My CSR running 16.8(1) does not expire the license registration even after changing the clock.

*Dec 20 10:20:30.001: %SYS-6-CLOCKUPDATE: System clock has been updated from 02:12:20 UTC Mon Apr 2 2018 to 10:20:30 UTC Tue Dec 20 2022, configured from console by vty1 (

Dec 20 10:20:30.001: %PKI-6-AUTHORITATIVE_CLOCK: System clock has been set. PKI timers get initialized now.

Dec 20 10:20:30.006: %SMART_LIC-3-REG_EXPIRED_CLOCK_CHANGE: Smart Licensing registration has expired because the system time was changed outside the validity period of the registration period. The agent will transition to the un-registered state in 60 minutes.

Router#sh clock

As we can see something is broken as it say next communication attempt 2027. Although I did get an alert that the system clock has been changed and it would unregister itself in 60 minutes. Its been over 24 hrs and I still see it as registered and with the throughput intact.
