Description (partial)

Symptom:
An ASA Firewall may crash and reload under rare circumstances while executing the command 'write memory" or "copy running-config startup-config". Depending at the specific moment, or step in the act of saving the configuration, it may end up writing only a fragment of the startup configuration resulting in an incomplete configuration upon next boot.

Conditions:
This has been seen when executing a "write memory" or similar action.
