Last Modified

Apr 24, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 5000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.2(0)N1(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Erspan time stamps are populated from the h/w registers . These h/w registers are initialized with zero and never updated later and as a result of this, time stamps carried in ERSPAN packet will not reflect the actual time , but the relative time from the time of switch reboot . Hence this values can not be used to compare the time stamps between packets from more than one switch .

Conditions:
ERSPAN on N5K/N6K
