Cisco Bug: CSCvi74267 - DNAC 10Gb ports should be connected to trunk ports on switch

Last Modified

May 28, 2018

Products (1)

  • Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller Enterprise Module (APIC-EM)

Known Affected Releases

DNAC1.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Large packets sent by a DNAC appliance over a 10Gb interface may get dropped.

Resulting symptoms include (but are not limited to):
- GUI access fails - possibly only for some clients
- SSH sessions freeze when running certain CLI commands
- Joining a new node to a cluster fails with a timeout error.

On the switchport where the 10Gb interface is connected, the interface statistics show an increasing number of giants.

Conditions:
This occurs when the switchport that DNAC is connected to, has been configured in access mode with an MTU equal to the MTU of the vNIC configured on the DNAC's MLOM (by default 1500).
